About Us
We cater for students from Pre-School to Grade 7. Senior students in the higher grades attend the Modicademy Learning Hub. We believe in ministering to the heart of the child before teaching the child. If children are settled in their emotions, they perform better. We teach students to love God and to love learning. Modimolle Christian Academy was established in 2015 by Pastor JA Viljoen BA.BD (PTA) and Mrs L Viljoen B.Ed.Dom.Sc (PTA) for the purpose of excellent Christian education.
Modimolle Christian Academy is a registered Independent Private school from Pre-School – Grade 12, EMIS nr: 991104207, with Aftercare, Boarding Facilities & Intervention Class.

Intervention Class
Exciting News at Modicademy: The launch of an Intervention Class
We at Modimolle Christian Academy, are very proud to announce that we have a new specialist class at our school. This is an Intervention Class, possibly the only one in our area, designed for students who find it difficult to cope within a mainstream classroom. It is specifically designed for a few students who struggle with the basics and who constantly feel under pressure.
So, what is an Intervention Class? It is a class that gives students the opportunity to learn at their own pace and to make rapid progress in English (Reading, Comprehension, Writing), Math’s and Reasoning skills. Lessons are also designed to improve focus and concentration levels. Any child in the Intervention class who makes rapid progress, is integrated back into the main classroom, when they are ready academically.
Please Note, our students will be working with an experienced teacher, who will also be heading up the program to suit our students.

Meet Jan & Zoli Volschenk
Jan and Zoli Volschenk have been married for 16 years and are proud parents of four daughters. Both come with strong educational backgrounds and a passion for working with children.
Jan has been teaching for over 12 years after completing his Graduate Diploma in Education in 2013. Outside the classroom, he enjoys sports and has even represented South Africa in kickboxing in Greece.
Zoli holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and has experience as a school counsellor and teacher assistant. She loves encouraging children through sport, creativity, and outdoor activities.
After years of travelling, the Volschenk family felt called by God to settle in Modimolle, where they are excited to be part of the Modicademy community. Their faith is central to their lives, and they are passionate about teaching students the power of prayer.
Jan will be the teacher at the Learning Hub, and Zoli will join as an assistant teacher. Together, they will also support the AfterCare programme and serve as the Mom and Dad of the Boarding Facility.
